CURRICULUM VITAE
Rogério Coelho Gouveia, nascido em 17 de Junho de 1955, em Lisboa, Portugal.
Realizou o “Curso de Medicina”, na Faculdade de Medicina, da Universidade Clássica de Lisboa de 1972 a 1978 tendo terminado o referido curso com a classificação de 15 valores.
Efetuou o “Internato Geral Policlínico” de 1979 a 1981, no Hospital de Vila Franca de Xira tendo terminado com a classificação de “Muito bom com Distinção”.
De 1982 a 1987 frequentou o “Internato Complementar de Urologia” no Serviço de Urologia do Hospital Curry Cabral – Hospitais Civis de Lisboa (Professor Dr. Matos Ferreira – Director).
Em 28 de Janeiro de 1988, fez em Lisboa, o “Exame de saída da Especialidade de Urologia nos Hospitais Civis de Lisboa”, obtendo a Classificação de 17,7 valores.
Em 24 de Junho de 1988, fez em Coimbra o “Exame para obtenção do título de Especialista de Urologia da Ordem dos Médicos”, tendo sido “aprovado por unanimidade com distinção” – 18,2 valores.
Em 1 de Julho de 1989, então trabalhando no Serviço de Urologia do Hospital Curry Cabral – Hospitais Civis de Lisboa, pediu transferência para o Hospital de Vila Franca de Xira, onde foi incumbido pelo Conselho de Administração do referido hospital para iniciar e organizar nele, o Serviço de Urologia.
Em 20 de Fevereiro de 1992, fez o “Concurso de provimento de Assistente de urologia do Hospital de Vila Franca de Xira” tendo obtido a classificação de 19 valores.
Em 28 de Novembro de 1992, realizou o concurso do “European Board of Urology” tendo sido aprovado e sendo desde essa data “Fellow of the European Board of Urology”.
Em 13 de Março de 1994 efectuou o Concurso de Habilitação ao “Grau de Consultor de Urologia – Chefe de Serviço, da Carreira Médica Hospitalar”, no Hospital Egas Moniz em Lisboa, tendo sido “aprovado”.
Em 30 de Outubro de 1998, fez “Concurso para provimento, para uma vaga de Chefe de Serviço de Urologia da carreira médica hospitalar, no Hospital de Vila Franca de Xira”, tendo ficado em 1º lugar com a classificação de 18,8 valores.
Desde Julho de 1989 até ao momento, desempenha as funções de “Diretor do Serviço de Urologia do Hospital Vila Franca de Xira”.
Desde Janeiro de 1990 até Dezembro de 2022 foi “Consultor de Neuro–urologia do Centro de Reabilitação de Alcoitão” tendo assim ao longo dos últimos 30 anos, tratado médica ou cirurgicamente, sob o ponto de vista urológico, centenas de doentes desta sub-especialidade urológica nomeadamente pacientes com Spina Bífida, Traumatismos Vertebro-medulares, Acidentes Vasculares Cerebrais, Mielopatias etc.
Durante o mês de Setembro de 1997 esteve no “Center for Male reproductive Medicine and Microsurgery – New York Hospital – Cornell Medical Center” onde sob a orientação do Dr. Philip Shihua Li e Prof. Marc Goldstein fez um “Curso de Microcirurgia Urológica”.
Em 20 de Setembro de 2008 na reunião dos “Board of directors” da “American Urologic Association – New York section” foi eleito “Honorary member of the American Urologic Association”.
